Educational activities

In a few words

Discover art, comprehend it, immerse yourself in history, be creative yourself!

Enjoy art in many different ways

The Kunsthalle Karlsruhe invites you to enjoy art in many different ways. Our “museum for young people” (Junge Kunsthalle) develops exhibitions specially tailored for children and teens and our educational activities include programmes that meet a broad variety of expectations: interest in a given epoch or a certain artist, discovering art and being creative, visits tailored to the needs and level of preschoolers, school kids, university students or adults, special offers for the disabled or groups with particular requirements.

For many decades now, one of the core functions of the Kunsthalle Karlsruhe has been to not only maintain, study and exhibit works of art, but also to make them more accessible to the public. The Junge Kunsthalle, for example, which opened in 1973, was one of the first museums that cater to young people.
